New Editor Needed – Village Magazine at Risk of Closure

PP_logo_transparent_small Packington Post needs a new Editor.  Our present Editor for two years, Natalie,  no longer lives in the village, and needs to expand her career elsewhere.  Without a new Editor, Packington Post may have to close. Please help if you can.

To be Editor, you probably should live or work in the village – the rôle is a very social one, talking to and emailing people and groups in the village, keeping your finger on the pulse of village life, and you’ll be receiving updates on news back from the village every two months. These will help you create the bi-monthly editions of the Packington Post, which record what has happened and advertise what will happen in our village.PP_logo_transparent

You’ll also help lead the Packington Communications Group PCG – the team of volunteers who help keep the village informed of what’s taking place.  There are never enough volunteers, so you’ll want to help us get more!

Help is available for technical aspects, but you should be able to use email and a word processor, enough to make sure that what you want in print is what goes to the printers.

Finance is currently secure, supported by the Parish Council and advertising.

If you felt you could be our new Editor, or perhaps you could volunteer in any associated way to help PCG, please quickly get in touch with retiring editor Natalie Moreland, on 589453, or text to 07515 713083, or by email to editor at packington dot info
