Village Gardens Open Day – Major Village Event on Bank Holiday Monday, 26th August 2013 from 2pm to 7pm. Admission is by passport to up to 12 gardens, Adults £3.50, Children 50p to include FREE quiz.
Refreshments including cream teas are available on your route and at the village church; also live music entertainment. Enjoy Ice Cream and watch the sheep at Plummer’s Wood.
Passports are available from village Car Park on Measham Road – LE65 1WP for your SatNav – or at partaking gardens.
As usual this event is sponsored by David Granger Architectural Design Limited, the much-respected local company located right at the heart of our village, in Mill Street.
Profits from the day help stop the village church from falling down – they go to the building’s fabric fund.
Also, with a 6pm start at Mill Street, where the Brook flows under the Hall Lane bridge, the famous Packington Duck Races take place!
Thrill to the excitement of Three Races, with the yellow ducks illustrated, plus a Customised-Ducks Race! Prizes!
The Buzz from the crowd is to be savoured. Barbecue and snacks available according to weather.
