ADVICE OF ELECTION OF PARISH COUNCILLOR
This advance advice is from Packington Post, about the Vacancy on our Parish Council, as advised by our District Council. It’s very much in the interest of the whole village that YOU should be able to stand as our new Parish Councillor. We’ll publish the official Notice of Election after it is issued on 14th June 2018:
-
- An election is to be held for ONE Parish Councillor for the Parish.
- Nomination papers must be delivered to the Council Offices, Whitwick Road, Coalville
on any working day from Thursday 14th June 2018 (Monday to Friday 8.45am to 5pm) but no later than 4pm on Friday 22nd June 2018.
- The official forms needed for nomination are available below as pdf files in the links given.
- A full Nomination Pack, including those same official Forms of Nomination, may be obtained from the Returning Officer at Council Offices before the end time above. This includes additional documents, for example the forms needed to request a copy of the electoral register and the absent voters list for the parish.

- If the Election is contested, the Poll will take place on Thursday 19th July 2018.
