Volunteers Urgently Needed

Pivotal Committee positions unfilled

The Committee of Measham & District Community Library are asking for your support! We hope that, around June this year, the council will hand over the running of the Measham library to the committee.

Please could you join us? We are looking for volunteers NOW to help us on the committee. Pivotal positions are vacant – it will look good on your CV to be able to record that YOU helped launch a Community Library.

The Library will be staffed entirely by volunteers, and will have to raise money for maintenance, insurances etc,  although we will get help from the council at first.

We hope the library will be a hub of the local area community, not only Measham but surrounding villages, especially Packington, Oakthorpe, Donisthorpe, Appleby Magna, Snarestone etc

We will need help – welcoming visitors, operating behind the counters, organising the shelves, also cleaning and maintenance.  You do not have to sign your life away,  just a morning a month, a couple of hours a week, whatever you can spare, to join with a small group of like-minded volunteers.   Every little helps!
