Big names confirm they’ll be at Coalville job fair
Marks and Spencer, Amazon and Tesco are just some of the names confirmed to be attending the Coalville Job Fair on Friday 28 October at Stephenson College from 10am-2pm.
The fair, organised by North West Leicestershire District Council in partnership with Jobcentre Plus Department for Work and Pensions and Stephenson College, is aimed at helping anyone who is unemployed to find work and to assist those looking to make a career change find those opportunities as well as helping employers in the district find the staff they need.
More than 25 companies of all shapes and sizes will be at the fair advertising more than 2,500 jobs for people of all skill levels, experience and expertise. It’s not just jobs on offer but a host of advice from the council, National Careers Service, Jobcentre Plus and the college itself.
For those who may struggle to get there there’s a free shuttle bus running between the clock tower in Memorial Square and Stephenson College on the day. The college have also offered its crèche for free for those parents visiting the job fair so they don’t have to worry about their children as they’re looking for their next career opportunity.
Councillor Tony Gillard, Portfolio Holder for Business at North West Leicestershire District Council, said: “We organise these job fairs to help everyone in the district, not just the unemployed. We have a really low unemployment rate in North West Leicestershire so this fair is also for anyone thinking of changing jobs or careers and wants a little inspiration and advice on what’s out there.”
