{"id":3878,"date":"2017-05-21T12:00:47","date_gmt":"2017-05-21T11:00:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/packington.info\/bloggle\/?p=3878"},"modified":"2017-05-13T22:27:12","modified_gmt":"2017-05-13T21:27:12","slug":"packington-girl-guides-re-starts-thursday-evenings-in-term-time","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/packington.info\/bloggle\/packington-girl-guides-re-starts-thursday-evenings-in-term-time\/","title":{"rendered":"Packington Girl Guides re-starts &#8211; Thursday Evenings in term-time"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-3879\" src=\"https:\/\/packington.info\/bloggle\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Packington-Guides-logo.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"388\" srcset=\"https:\/\/packington.info\/bloggle\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Packington-Guides-logo.jpg 600w, https:\/\/packington.info\/bloggle\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Packington-Guides-logo-300x194.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>1st Packington Guides have reopened<\/h2>\n<h3>They had their first meeting on Thursday 11th May 2017.<\/h3>\n<p>The Unit meets <strong>Thursdays in term time<\/strong> at <strong>Packington Memorial Hall<\/strong> from <strong>18:30-20:00<\/strong> (unless we are out and about!).<\/p>\n<p>There are currently <strong>spaces for girls aged 10-14.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The unit has already started working on a <strong>Denmark Challenge badge &#8211; i<\/strong>f you notice the smell of freshly baked Danish pastries it could be Packington Guides.<br \/>\nThe following are planned for the rest of the term:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ashby Spa and Ivanhoe District\u2019s Dress up and Dance Evening in aid of MacMillan and Smalls for All;<\/li>\n<li>Weekend camp, and<\/li>\n<li>Ashby Division Swimming and BBQ evening.<\/li>\n<li>We also hope to walk some of the Leicestershire Round, try out some crafts and start working on the Leicestershire Centenary Challenge.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Leicestershire Girlguiding<\/strong> are supporting the Smalls for All Charity (https:\/\/www.smallsforall.org\/) so we are collecting:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>New ladies pants size 8-16<\/li>\n<li>New children&#8217;s pants age 5-15<\/li>\n<li>New or gently-worn bras<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Interested in Girlguiding?<\/strong> You would be welcome to join as a <strong>Unit Helper or Leader<\/strong>.
