The Bull and Lion (reputedly the only one in Britain) is a 17th century pub just a few miles from Ashby-De-La-Zouch and just off the M42. We are set in the beautiful national forest and the Gillewhiskaw brook runs through the village. <\/span><\/p>\n

Every way you could walk from the Bull and Lion there are walkways. <\/span><\/p>\n

We have a large car park and two gardens, which are lovely on a sunny day. <\/span><\/p>\n

Inside the pub we have a bar area with BT sport and a darts board, a lounge area with a log burning fire. We also have a restaurant separate to the lounge bar if you fancy something a little more private.<\/span><\/p>\n

We have a small cupboard with coloring books, wooden blocks and card games for the children. <\/span><\/p>\n

Well behaved and clean dogs are move then welcome.<\/span><\/p>\n

Quiz Night<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Every Tuesday we hold the pub quiz, starting at 9pm. Groups of up to 6 people, \u00a31 per person and all money goes towards cash prizes for the night. Also there is a \u00a310.00 bar tab up for grabs every week for the team how gets the closest answer to the tie-breaker question. Bring a team, a friend or come on your own, there is always a team who needs an extra player for the night.<\/p>\n

Pie and a Pint<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Every Wednesday from 12 pm to 8.30 pm if you order a pie you can get any pint of larger, cider, \u00a0ale, soft drink or regular wine.<\/p>\n

Regular pies include, Steak and Ale<\/p>\n

Minced Beef and Onion<\/p>\n

Peppered steak and Mushroom<\/p>\n

Chicken and Mushroom<\/p>\n

Also most Wednesdays Phill makes a special pie just for Pie day<\/p>\n

Sunday Lunch\"sunday\"<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Served from 12 pm to 3.00 pm every Sunday. Booking highly recommended.<\/p>\n

We always have a choice of three meats and two vegetarian options. We\u00a0only do Sunday Lunch on a Sunday the full menu is on during the rest of the\u00a0week. Your meat will be served on the plate and your potatoes and vegetables are served in on-trays so you can chose how much and what you have. Gravy is served in gravy boat and if you would like more just ask, as there is always more.<\/p>\n
